**Avro 504k Beta 1**

The beautiful 3d model was done by Wakeup Tailgunner/Pierre Radiateur (MUCH thanks!!!) and I did the FM, DM and all the OPS work. Razer helped fix a few polygons for me when needed. The skin and damaged skin were done by Recon3 and they look GREAT!! Of course its 1024x1024 so be sure to set the texture size correctly in SDOE Options section. If your computer can't handle the hi-res tifs, then just change the option to a lower setting. The pilot is a slightly modified Dirk pilot for the English. If no bugs are found this should be the first and last release. Of course Recon3 has another skin up his sleeve for this one, so stay tuned!

Typical Avro night fighter. Undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular training aeroplanes ever to enter service, the Avro 504K is a true classic. The first of all the thousands of Avro 504's that were built in many variants made its public debut at Hendon on September 20, 1913. Very modest production for both Wings of the RFC followed in 1914, and three RNAS 504s performed the types only significant feat of arms by bombing the Zeppelin works at Friedrichshafen on November 21, 1914.

Features:

-DM includes fuel leaks, respectable engine DM, minor control surface DM and a damaged model with skin.

-There are two main types of this aircraft: Trainer and Fighter. You can select these via the Mission Editor.

**NOTES** Do NOT go into a long steep dive with this aeroplane! She is somewhat fragile... Also remember that this is no sports car. Early WWI planes must be handled with TLC. (Tender Loving Care)
Press the G key to lower the top Lewis gun. You can then press and hold 5 and 8 on your keypad to look up at a 45 degree angle and shoot. These missions use the Somme terrain, so be sure you have the latest version installed.

Installation: Unzip into the Fighter Squadron folder with the 'Use folder names' option checked.

Known Problems: The shadow is that of a Nieuport 17c1. You can still sit in and control the forward cockpit when in Fighter mode.
