**Fokker D.VII** This aircraft requires the latest FS-WWI Plane Pack to function correctly. Credits for this aircraft go to the following: 3d Model: Recon3, Raider, Zoycite Texture: Recon3 OpenPlaneStudio Code: Raider, Zoycite, ArgonV Missions: Raider, Zoycite, ArgonV GUI: Raider, Zoycite, ArgonV Updated by: Recon3, ArgonV Old History and past notes/revisions: Fokker DVII ver. 1.0 Created by Tim West and John Muth 3-19-00 *********************************************************************** This aircraft recreates one of great fighting scouts of WWI. Originally shipped in May of 1918 it proved a worthy foe to all who fell across its sights. With speed, ease of operation, maneuverability and swift climb rate, the DVII was deadly in the right hands. For more info visit www.fightersquadron.com/warpaint/dvii.htm. *********************************************************************** Version 1 of the Fokker DVII was built using Parsofts Fokker Dr1a as a base model. After many model changes and additions both to flight model, damage model and aesthetics, we hope you will enjoy your flight in our Fokker DVII_G. Features: Authentic cockpit and gauges. Wild damage model, with 2 levels of damage. Custom sounds and additions. Friendly gestures from our friend Dirk. Super flight model. Handling true to the real DVII. And hours of great fun! To install: The zip will extract files to your Fighter Squadron directory. To avoid conflicts with other add-on aircraft we suggest you back up your startup.ppf. The FokkerDVII will put a new startup.ppf in the "Fighter Squadron" directory. To use this startup.ppf 1. Back up or rename your "startup.ppf" in your "Media" folder 2.Then just copy the one from the "Fighter Squadron" directory to the "Media" folder. OR You could just add the following line to the bottom of you existing "startup.ppf" Be sure to add the quotation marks like all the others in file. "aircraft/airfoils/DVII.sm" Now to install the DVII: Extract the FokkerDVII.zip to your "Fighter Squadron" directory. All files and folders will be added for you. Lastly there will be a folder named "World War I" added to your "missions" folder. In it will be placed mission containing the DVII vs. other WWI aircraft. To take advantage of some of the new features: We have added some new features to the DVII. To use them you will have to add the following to your "keyboard.inp". Adding this line will in no way conflict with any other additions you have made to this file. Add this: "cmdBomb = D" again without the qoutes. For example: cmdCanopyToggle = Q cmdCanopyOpen = Alt Q cmdCanopyClose = Control Q cmdBomb = D ;inpFlapsAnalog inpFlapsUpDigital = Shift F inpFlapsDownDigital What does it do? Try it and find out =) Also there are a few other things that arnt mentioned. They are for you to find. Quick View keys are: "F9" and "F10". These will give you a view of the altimeter and compass. Known issues: Until we get a working WWI airfoil, the climb rate of the DVII will suffer slightly. We will update the DVII as new stuff becomes available for us to use and as we learn some new tricks. We now wish to thank the following: Parsoft for giving us OpenPlane and the Dr1 to work with a base model. SV, who has been a great help through out this project. The WWI group. Mike "Dauntless" for the great tech info and scale drawings. The Old Rhinebeck Areodrome. And lastly the Beta testers. Thanks Guys. Now let me personally thank Raider, for without his help this project could not have happened.
